May I eat as many vegetables as I want?

Well, not exactly.  If you still feel hungry, you can eat as many greens as you want.  Starchy vegetables like potatoes are a no no!

I’m picky. Will this plan still work for me?

Absolutely!  We have included plenty of food options and you can swap them as you see fit using our food substitution calculator.  This plan is a lifestyle plan, NOT a diet, so we don’t tell you exactly what to eat at every meal.  We set up portion guidelines for weight loss and portion guidelines for maintenance so you are not stuck with a strict regimen.  That is what makes this different than a “diet” – It is a lifestyle!

How quick will I see results?

This is NOT a quick fix diet!  If you are 15lbs or more overweight you will likely lose weight and you might even see changes after the first 7-10 days.  This is often due to the fact that your body is flushing the toxins and junk that it has been used to eating.  We recommend you do not weigh yourself every day because of the fluctuations your body goes through naturally.  Pay attention to how you feel, how your clothes fit, and how you look in the mirror as these are much better indicators of weight loss than the scale!

What is a food substitution calculator?

Our food substitution calculator will allow you to sub out foods to suit your taste. Don’t like chicken? No worries … Sub out for eggs. Want to extend the plan beyond 7 days but don’t want to eat the same menu? Sub out for variety! Do keep in mind though that the closer you stick to the plan the more effective it will be. In other words, don’t sub an entire meal, every meal!

Where can I find the food substitution calculator?

Have no fear – you will be given a link to our exclusive food substitution calculator that will allow you to substitute out foods you don’t like AND allow you to extend this program well beyond 7 days!

Can I swap out if I can‘t eat or don’t like something?

YES, you can use the food substitution calculator, however, keep substituting to a minimum and ONLY sub out proteins for proteins, carbs for carbs and fats for fats!

I’m busy, work long hours and always on the run. Will this still work for me?

Yes!  With proper preparation, which we go over in the plan, you will have the tips and tricks you need to be able to eat clean, even if you are busy and on the run.  If you prepare your meals and have your go-to, Eat Clean Plan approved snacks handy, there should be no reason you can’t maintain a healthy lifestyle!

What other supplements do you recommend?

I’m not a huge fan of large amounts of supplements, however there are a few that I do believe in. As you can see in the program, I recommend taking a good quality fish oil. I also recommend you buy a quality whey and/or casein protein powder, low sugar, natural protein bars for emergency purposes and vitamins, which if you are eating a balanced diet are generally thought of more as “insurance” than a need.

I’m so hungry! What should I do?

First, eat more leafy greens. If you are still hungry, up your non-starchy veggies (cooked or raw). If that doesn’t work, try one more small serving of protein and/or a few raw almonds (7-10).

Is this program suitable for vegetarians?

I’ve had many vegetarians follow this program with great results by making simple swaps like tofu for meat. Many of the recipes are made with a lot of vegetables and fruit and often no meat at all.

Is it expensive to eat clean and healthy like this?

It is really not expensive to eat this way. Think about how much you spend on eating at restaurants/take out food, pre-packaged food, etc. If you buy in bulk and take a little time to prepare your meals it is very economical to eat healthy, nourishing food.

When do I stop using a food scale?

There’s no exact science nor is it the same for everyone to determine when to stop using a food scale. If you feel like you have a handle on your weight, meaning you are comfortable where you are and have maintained for some time, you can probably stop using the scale. By this time you’ve likely learned to listen to your body and what healthy portion sizes look like.

Does this program come with an exercise plan?

It doesn’t come with a specific workout plan, however if you check out my blog and social media you will find that we have plenty of exercise information and tips.

Do the included recipes take a lot of time to prep?

For the most part, no!  All of our favorite recipes are included and are intended to be quick and easy to prepare and make, making eating clean so easy there is no excuse not to do it!
